Alien Abduction: The Uninvited
Once in awhile, an interesting book about UFOs would pop up in a small bookshop downtown selling used books. I would not hesitate to buy such a book at the first instance, especially when it was selling at a bargain price.

1998/1999 Singapore Street Directory
As years gone by, this kind of guidebook became larger and larger (due to more roads and highways being built) and its pages have color maps and advertisements.
The size of this issue is almost that of a coffee table book.

Coca-Cola Trays
I ain't much of a collector of those fancy Coca-Cola collectibles. But when a friend gave me this colorful paperback recently, I was pleased to accept it. This paperback has large prints and it's a good guidebook.

Gold Producers Handbook
This large paperback was bought in 1992 at a high price from Times The Bookshop downtown.
A long way back in 1991, the market price of gold was about the same as the price of platinum. It was a golden opportunity back then for anyone to exchange all his or her gold into platinum and becomes rich by now 'coz the price of platinum is more than twice the price of gold nowadays.
It's easy to mention this missed opportunity on hindsight.

Essentials of Marketing
This heavy hardcover book weighs about 1.3 kilograms and it is a wonderful reference book for the serious reader who's into marketing. No problem if you're just a casual reader 'coz those charts, illustrations, and large prints are easy on the eyes.
I would like to offer this hardback at a reasonable price to any serious or casual reader who appreciates the pleasure of owning a nice reference book like this.
The reader is strongly advised to collect this heavy book from me at Yew Tee mrt station because packing and mailing it by post is going to incur quite a substantial cost. Besides, I might not have the material to pack such a large and heavy book.

Selling these 31 Nice Used Books
He'd asked me to help him to sell these nice used books at Yahoo! Auctions Singapore, and I am now thinking several descriptions to write about these books in order to create those auctions pages.
But first of all, I have to shoot several nice photographs of everyone of these books individually.
Meanwhile, I have to find some space in my bookshelf to stack up these books carefully 'coz it may take quite awhile to sell them on auctions. SOLD!

Chapter 20: Taxation of Coin Collections.
This is a compilation of 384 pages of numismatic knowledge that the collector of coins and paper money won't wanna miss. The ring-folder has aged somewhat for the past 26 years but this slight defect isn't a problem. Remember the old saying that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
I'd paid US$25.00 (about SGD$57.00 in 1980) to ship it all the way here from the USA, and thus this compilation might be the only copy around in Singapore after all these doggone years.

Fodor's People's Republic of China, 1983
This thick guide book was a nice gift in 1984 from a student from China studying in the USA, who might be hoping that I would visit China someday. But the closest I'd ever gone somewhere near China was to Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The Gold Companion
While browsing for books inside Times The Bookshop downtown Kuala Lumpur in 1998, I'd come across this attractive hardcover book and bought it without much hesitation. This book is almost like a handy encyclopaedia of gold.

Phaidon Guide to Pewter
This is the most recent book that I'd bought from Romie, just two days after Christmas of 2006. It's a nice used hardcover book and its pages are made from good quality paper.
It's a nice way to end the year of 2006 and herald the year of 2007 by reading about some collectibles that I like.
